As a general rule, if you’re starting or responding to a court lawsuit, using a process server to serve documents is the best way to get the greatest outcomes.
In order to proceed with a court matter, you must first hire a process server. All City Serve provides the knowledge and experience to serve your legal documents in a timely and cost-effective manner while also adhering to local and state process serving requirements.
For standard serves, the typical time to serve papers is 5-7 days.
In most cases, you can upload your documents using our contact form. You will need to find out if the original papers need to be served before determining how you will get the papers over to the server.
Yes, we do. The rate is $79.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
A private investigator, also referred to as a PI, Private Detective, or Private Eye, is a person hired to conduct an investigation. PIs must be trained and licensed in most states. Investigators frequently come from law enforcement or the military.
In most circumstances, we will bill on an hourly basis. Hourly rates are subject to change. Before embarking on a case, almost all investigators will request a retainer fee. It’s unlikely that you’ll find an investigator willing to labor for only one or two hours.
Despite having access to information that the general public does not, private investigators must follow the same basic laws as ordinary persons. They are unable to accomplish the following three major tasks:
Expect to be treated with respect. Every case is unique, and the outcomes vary widely. Even the finest investigators occasionally come up empty-handed, so if you find one who promises results, they are lying. If you offer an investigator specific instructions about your goals, he or she should be able to estimate the amount of time, money, and chances of success. The investigator should also keep you updated on the progress of your case on a frequent basis. They should always, always acquire your permission before taking any more steps or adding work to the initial agreement, which would result in an increase in your bill’s expenses. Most private investigators demand a large retainer before they start working. Before you sign a contract, be sure you understand the price and expenditure structure. I would hire a different private investigator if he or she does not need you to sign a contract.
The act of locating (or “tracing”) someone is known as skip tracing. Typically, our clients submit us a list of names and addresses. We send them the list, along with phone numbers and email addresses for the individuals and businesses on it.
For the absolute best results you will need:
Keep in mind the 1st 2 to 3 numbers will always have the most potential accuracy.
Results come back within 24 hours of submission. Most orders will come back quicker than 24 hours. If you submit files on weekends, we will return the files the next business day.
Mobile notaries are employed by private companies and are not certified or qualified by the state’s commissioning authority beyond the normal notary application process. Mobile notaries will travel to provide notary services at the signer’s home or office at their convenience by appointment.
You will need to bring one of the following forms of approved identification
Employee ID from an agency or office of the State of Missouri, or by an agency
office of a City, County in Missouri.
No. Notarizing a document only validates that the signer personally appeared
in front of the notary and subscribed or affirmed the truthfulness of the document. The Notary Public has no authorization to state that a document is official, true, or correct.
In most cases, yes. If none of the types of Identification listed are available, or it would be excessively difficult for the document signer to obtain them, two additional persons who do have acceptable identification may be present who will swear to the signer’s identity. The two individuals have to be over the age of 18, have valid identification ready for inspection and recording in the notary’s journal, and must swear or affirm, under penalty of perjury, that they personally know the signer. They will also need to be present at the time of witnessing and sign the notary journal.
